Tripartite MOU between Asia Pacific Society of Cellular Agriculture, Temasek Polytechnic and Republic Polytechnic

On 4 November 2025, the Asia Pacific Society of Cellular Agriculture (APAC-SCA), Temasek Polytechnic (TP) and Republic Polytechnic (RP) entered into a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to support and grow APAC-SCA (Student Chapter)'s activities.

As APAC-SCA (Student Chapter) continues into its 2nd year of operation as Singapore's first student society that aims to raise awareness and preference for cultivated food products among the next generation of consumers, a new partner officially joins onboard with an MOU signing on 4 November 2025.

Republic Polytechnic, renowned for its School of Applied Sciences, has join the APAC-SCA (Student Chapter) platform. The partnership reinforces their commitment to innovation and sustainability in the future of food and strengthens RP’s role in Singapore’s “30 by 30” food security goal by advancing education, research, and public awareness in cultivated meat and cellular agriculture. It also creates valuable opportunities for RP students to gain exposure to emerging food technologies, leadership development, and industry collaboration through the APAC-SCA (Student Chapter).

As part of the MOU, all parties aim to:

1. Support and grow APAC-SCA Student Chapter activities and student leadership development through joint initiatives between APAC-SCA, RP and TP;

2. Co-organise technical workshops, seminars, cultivated meat tasting events, and

   other outreach activities to increase awareness of cultivated meat technologies;

3. Explore joint applied research opportunities, including industry-driven problem statements, pilot studies, grant applications and cross-polytechnic collaborations;

4. Jointly brand and publicise initiatives to strengthen outreach and raise the profile of cultivated meat;

5. Leverage RP and TP students’ participation in the Student Chapter as a future talent pool for industry engagement opportunities.

APAC-SCA (Student Chapter) looks forward to the continuation of flagship events and activities such as the Cultivated Meat Day, Cell Ag Talent Development Programme, and Scientific Poster Showcase in 2026.
