cultivated meat & seafood in four steps, explained
Samples of cells are collected from the animal of interest using minimally invasive methods. These starter cells include stem cells or primary cell lines from specific organs or tissues.

​A small number of cells from the cell bank are placed in tightly controlled environments that support growth and multiplication
by supplying nutrients and other factors.

Bioreactors (also known as cultivators) provide the housing and control the conditions that enable cells to grow at a large scale. Bioreactors control the temperature, oxygen levels, and delivery of cell culture media.

The biomass is removed from the bioreactors. This 'harvest' will go through conventional food processing and packaging
methods. Your cultivated meat or seafood is ready to be eaten!
